Dalhousie University is a leader in specialized graduate programs. We offer one of the few “distance” programs available in the international marketplace that boasts an academic rigour comparable to an on-campus program. Our MBA (FS)
program is delivered via the Internet, uses cutting-edge virtual classroom tools, and includes an on-site element which provides each learner with the benefits of face-to-face interaction with educational experts and networking with fellow students.
Our program is designed with the working professional in mind, and has the flexibility required for students to continue their regular employment while achieving their degree. You can choose to take as little as one course per term and are in complete control of how you move through the program as you have time available to devote to educational pursuits.
You will be taught by award-winning professors who are supported by a professional team who have been managing online programs for more than 10 years. We have the knowledge and experience necessary to produce a superior learning experience, and a customer-service focus that is characterized by our alumni as “support and caring [that] makes ALL the difference to a distance student.”
We use a software package called the Blackboard Learning System (BLS) to deliver the online portion of the MBA (FS) program. It has multiple delivery methods including chat rooms, discussion boards, voice tools and “live classroom” which create a rich and interactive learning environment. These tools are the latest in educational technology and used extensively throughout the university for both distance programs and as a supplement for on-campus classes. We have dedicated staff exclusively working with this software to provide students with a fully comprehensive learning experience.
